Even without the usual freezing temperatures and snowy surroundings, the Kenai Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the annual Christmas comes to Kenai.
Executive Director Johna Beech…
Beech: “Christmas comes to Kenai November 28, so there’s going to be hot chocolate, cookies, candies and grab bags, then later that evening at 6 o’clock we have the electric lights parade that starts over on Spur View Road and it heads down Frontage Road and ends here in the parking lot of the Kenai Chamber and Visitors Center. And then at 7:30 we have the grand finale fireworks, sponsored by Stanley Ford and the City of Kenai.”
Also on the 28th, the Kenai Fine Arts Guild Arts and Crafts Fair at Kenai Central High School begins at 10 am and Santa arrives at the Kenai Chamber and Visitors Center on a Kenai Fire Truck for snacks and hot cocoa at 11 am.
