The ENSTAR project to connect the lateral line from the CINGSA storage facilities to existing infrastructure is continuing on schedule.

Spokeswoman Kelsie Anderson said the two directional drills under the river and K-Beach intersection have been completed.

Anderson: “I believe they’ve moved all of the equipment to the south side of the river and they were laying down mats to start the trenching and the installation of pipes on the south side to the tie in to the A line.”

The project is going to run 4.4 miles of 16 inch pipe from CINGSA, just off Bridge Access Road in Kenai, under the Kenai River and down K-Beach Road to connect with ENSTAR’s existing network on Amy Lane.

The work is slated to be done in June.
