Alaska Little League Baseball continues all-star tournaments with teams from Kenai and Soldotna competing at the District 1 8-10 tournament and the District 1 Majors tournament.
District 1 8-10 Tournament
The District i 8-10 tournament, following pool play earlier in the week, advances into a bracketed, win and advance format. Abbott-O-Rabbit completed pool play at 3-0; Kenai, 2-2 and Soldotna 0-3.
On Thursday in the play-in game, Knik eliminated Soldotna 10-4.
Friday’s schedule includes:
Dimond West vs Kenai 6 p.m. Field 1
Knik vs AOR 6:30 p.m. Field 2
Championship Saturday will match Friday’s winners in the noon game on Field 1.
District 1 Majors Tournament
The District 1 Majors tournament, featuring two different locations conducting pool play to advance to the state tournament, opened for Soldotna and Kenai on Thursday, July 15th in Seward.
Thursday’s First Round Result: Soldotna 14 – Kenai 0; Anchorage West 16 – Seward 1
Friday’s Schedule: Soldotna vs West 4 p.m.; Kenai vs Seward 7 p.m.
Saturday’s Schedule: Kenai vs West noon; Soldotna vs Seward 3 p.m.
