February 9 is the last day to submit public comment on the school district’s superintendent search; Wednesday parents are invited to attend principal interview for the Connections’ opening.
Pegge Erkeneff with the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District detailed what kind of input they would like on the superintendent process.
Erkeneff: “The school board is asking for the community to give input on what their top attributes or qualities would be in our superintendent of schools as well as any comments. People don’t need to share their names, there is an online input forum, again it’s open till February 9th.”
The superintendent’s application period closes February 16 and the person chosen for the full-time position will begin July 1.
Assistant Superintendent Dave Jones said parents are also encouraged to attend a meeting this Wednesday, February 11.
Jones: “We’re having interviews for the new principal position for Connections Home School Program, Wednesday at 4 [pm] we’re going to do those over at Soldotna Prep School.”
