The final Alaska high school football championship will be determined on Friday, October 19 at the Anchorage Football Stadium with East Anchorage and West Anchorage to battle for the Division I (large school) football title for 2018.
East Anchorage enters the championship game with a 9-1 overall record and as the top seed form the Cook Inlet Conference. East posted an undefeated record against Alaska opponents in 2018.
West Anchorage, 6-4 on the season, is riding a late season surge into Friday night’s 7 p.m. title game.
East advances to the Division I championship on a 34-14 victory over the Colony Knights in the semi-final; West defeated 2017 champion and #2 seed Bartlett 39-35 last weekend.
