Late Saturday evening Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report of an intoxicated driver near W. Point Makenzie Road and S. Lu Young Lane near Wasilla.
When Troopers located and pulled over the 1999 Ford F350 near Knik Goose Bay Road, investigation revealed 33-year-old Kile Thimsen was driving recklessly while severely intoxicated with seven small children in the truck with no seat belts on.
Thimsen was also driving with a suspended license.
He was arrested and charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, DWLS, 7 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a child 1st degree and 7 counts of Reckless Endangerment.
Thimsen was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
