The Kenai Peninsula Borough will place two large dumpsters off of Trout Lane, near the intersection of Fueding Lane and Kenai Keys, beginning Saturday for households impacted by the Card Street Fire.

The dumpters will be in place from July 11 – 25 but the borough is requesting that residents only include fire-related, household debris.

Construction materials, bulky waste, wood debris and hazardous materials should be taken to the Central Peninsula Landfill outside of Soldotna.

The next Haz-mat day at the Central Peninsula Landfill will be on July 18th.

Another set of dumpsters will be delivered to Alamo Street early next week.

Arrangements for brush and woody debris will also be scheduled at a later date.

The borough is unable to provide for the disposal of fire affected vehicles, individuals can contact Peninsula Scrap and Salvage at 262-7258 to discuss disposal of such items.
