After spending the year as Interim Superintendent, Sean Dusek now has an official three-year contract to take the School District’s top job.
The School Board last night unanimously approved Dusek as Superintendent with a $140,000 starting salary. Beginning July 1 of this year, he’ll work 260 days per year and receive the same healthcare as school principals.
Board President Joe Arness commented when Dusek was chosen from a shortlist of three applicants last March…
Arness: “I’m very confident and very comfortable with Mr. Dusek. We’ve had the opportunity now for a couple of months to have him being our Superintendent, so we know what we’re getting and I think we’re getting a quality product.”
Only one other candidate was interviewed after the third withdrew.
Dusek’s benefits will include vacation time, sick leave, travel expenses, and a contract termination agreement.
