Students of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will have an abbreviated day tomorrow (Friday).
Spokeswoman Pegge Erkeneff said school will end an hour and a half early on March 27 and bus schedules have been adjusted for the early release day.
Erkeneff: “And those are days when students actually have a shorter day by 90 minutes but teachers maximize the school day and work on collaborating and improving teacher’s teaching skills and work with one another in order to provide a better educational experience for our students.”
The district plans to review the efficiency and effectiveness of these scheduled days at the end of the school year.
Friday May 1 is the last scheduled early release day for this year.
