At approximately 4:30pm Central Emergency Services responded to a report of an emergency landing in the Sterling area.

“Central Emergency Services and Alaska State Troopers responding to a plane which made an emergency landing in the Sterling area. Apparently no injuries, the plane not accessible by road. An Alaska State Trooper helicopter is on route. Apparently no injuries, the pilot reported the cab of the plane filled with smoke.”
