Homer Electric Association members on K-Beach will be a experiencing a brief (5 minute) outage Thursday, December 28th, between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. affecting approximately 4,000 members from the Soldotna Bridge to the Reflection Lake area and members from the Soldotna Bridge to the K-Beach Fire Station according to Homer Electric Association.
In a release from HEA, the purpose of the outage is to complete repairs to damaged equipment during last week’s transmission outage.
On Thursday December 21st, more than 10,000 Homer Electric Association members lost power when a transmission line from Diamond Ridge to Soldotna was tripped, de-energizing three substations.
