6 PM Update:
At around 5:30 pm emergency responders attended to a two vehicle accident near milepost 99 of the Sterling Highway.
Megan Peters with the Alaska State Troopers confirmed that one trooper vehicle was involved.
Not many details about the accident are known but Peters said the officer is being transported to be checked for injuries and no injuries have been reported from the other driver.
She said the Highway is not currently blocked but there may be intermittent traffic disruptions while the scene is investigated.

Central Emergency Services along with other responders are attending to a motor vehicle accident near milepost 99 possibly involving an Alaska State Trooper vehicle.
The highway is currently closed and the Alaska State Troopers are updating 511.alaska.gov.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area or proceed cautiously.
