ENSTAR’s directional drilling to complete a pipeline under the Kenai River along Bridge Access is set to begin early next week.
As the project has already had a problem with distracted onlookers, Lindsay Hobson with the utility detailed what they can expect to see.
Hobson: “Wooden mats have been laid down, that’s where the equipment will be set up. There will be a rig that will be about 30ft off the road, it will be down in the low lands so if you’re driving right by it will be pretty hard to spot. The area where the drilling will actually take place will be 400ft from the water.”
She also encouraged drivers to be aware of the truck crossings throughout the project.
