A majority of Kenai Peninsula Residents exit polled said yes on Ballot Measure 2, the initiative to tax and regulate marijuana.

“I used to enforce marijuana laws in another state and from law enforcement perspective and I didn’t really see any increased crime as a result so I think it’s time to focus on other victim related crimes… Two, I went with yes on that one because I don’t see it getting taken care of, I see a lot of tax dollars going to try and stop people from trying to do something, I personally don’t do drugs but I don’t feel that it’s the government’s job to get in to try and stop me from doing what I want to do or anybody else from doing what they want to do with their own body… I voted  yes, I’m a libertarian conservative, I feel the government should just stay out of it… uh, no.”
