Shortly before 2pm this afternoon an accident occurred on the Sterling Highway mile post 158 to 159, just South of Anchor Point.

Megan Peters with the Alaska State Troopers…

“Just before two o’clock we received a report that there was a wreck just south of Anchor Point. It appears to be a pretty significant one. I do have troopers that are on scene, they got there pretty recently so I don’t have a lot of details to confirm on it just yet but we do encourage people to go slow through the area if your traversing the Sterling Highway there, just so our troopers can be safe as they’re investigating what transpired.”
