An Alaska Airlines flight headed to Phoenix returned to Portland for an emergency landing Wednesday.

The Boeing 737 flight with 144 passengers landed safely back at the Portland International Airport at 11 am.

Alaska Airlines spokeswoman Bobbie Egan says the plane made the emergency landing because of a loss of pressure in the cabin.

She says the airline is arranging another flight to Phoenix for the passengers.
