The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Moose Pass, south to Seward until 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to the advisory, a winter storm will move over the Kenai Peninsula with snow developing by Monday morning. A front will then usher in some warmer air, changing the now to rain by late Monday afternoon, with periods of heavy rain on Tuesday.
Several inches of rain are expected along the Seward Highway from Moose Pass, south to Seward. Small stream rises and minor flooding are possible.
Heavy rain on snow-packed roads may also lead to ponding of water on roads.
