Division III Football Releases All-State Selections

The 2017 Alaska Football Coaches Association’s selections for the 2017 Division III All-State Football Team, released on Monday, is highlighted by the selection of five Homer Mariners to First Team and by the absence of Nikiski Bulldogs on the top of the list.

Homer’s Teddy Croft, the Mariners leader in passing and rushing yardage, was named as the Offensive Player of the Year for Division III football.

Also selected from the Mariners: Joe Ravin, tight end and defensive back; Noah Fisk, running back; Levi King, defensive line.  Voznesenka’s David Sanarov was named to the first team defense at inside linebacker.

 

2017 Division III state champion Barrow earned seven First Team selections and Chris Battle was named Division III Coach of the Year.
