Football Features Week Four Conference Showdowns & Battle Of State’s Best

A full slate of high school football for week four of the regular season on tap, with two contests on Friday night and a showdown on Saturday for the Stars at East Anchorage.

 

Kenai 25 – Eagle River 7  

The Kenai Kardinals downed Northern Lights Conference opponent Eagle River 25-7 in the Kardinals first conference game on Friday night at Kenai Central High School.  Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

 

Kenai improves to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 against Medium School opponents.

 

Nikiski 33 – Vosnesenka 0 

The Nikiski Bulldogs won their first Peninsula Conference game defeating Vosnesenka 33-0 on Friday night at Nikiski High School.

Nikiski stands at 2-2 on the season.

 

SoHi 22 – East 21

The Soldotna Stars, the top team in Medium School football, continues to “take-on all comers” as the Stars will battle the #1 Large School football team East Anchorage on Saturday at East High School.  Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

SoHi plays a third, Large School opponent of the season having beaten previous #1 West and Wasilla from the larger school division of high school football.  SoHi stands at 3-0 on the season (with a week two victory over North Pole) and the Stars have extended the programs’ win streak to 42-0.
