A former Alaskan resident was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman in Washington state last week.
Timothy Kirschner-Griffith, 22, is accused of binding, hitting, and raping a 23 year-old southeastern Washington woman at a Motel 6 while her 8-month-old child was present.
According to court documents, the woman told police Griffith was under the influence of heroin and made her smoke the drug before driving them around for several hours.
She claimed he would ask her about people on her phone or male contacts and when she gave the wrong answer he would physically hit her. He then allegedly took her to the motel where he bound, hit, and raped her repeatedly.
Griffith’s phone was seized under a Probable Cause Affidavit after telling police the photos and videos on it would support his story.
He was arrested on two probation violations for an unrelated case and dismissed the allegations as “rough but consensual sex”.
Alaska Court records show prior charges of Kidnapping and domestic violence arrests.
The Washington State rape and kidnapping charges are Class A Felonies and each carry a maximum penalty of life in prison and a fine of $50,000.
Griffith will appear in a Washington superior court on April 20.
