The 2018 Fountain of Youth running event, essentially a sixth race in the Salmon Run Series, is scheduled for Wednesday, August 15th on the Tsalteshi Trails at Skyview Middle School.
The Fountain of Youth race is a pursuit-style event with head-starts (time advantages) given based on age and gender.
Calculated head-starts will be assigned to racers who register online before race day (before Wednesday). Anyone entering on race day will run in the final wave.
From race organizers “Don’t like the idea of being “pursued?” Do you want to run with a friend or family member with different demographics? No problem. Just check the box indicating you would like to start in the last wave, and you will get the regular timing format we all know and love”.
Fountain of Youth registration cost is $15 for Tsalteshi members and $20 for non-members.
Race time is set for 6 p.m.on Wednesday, August 15th.
The Fountain of Youth is organized and sponsored by Kenai Peninsula Relay for Life. All proceeds and donations will go to the American Cancer Society.
