Four New Peninsula Resident COVID Cases, Ten Kodiak Seafood Workers Also Test Positive

The Department of Health and Social Services announced 95 new people with COVID-19 in Alaska on Thursday. 82 are residents, including two residents of Kenai, one in Soldotna, and one in Sterling. There were also ten nonresident seafood workers out of Kodiak.

 

There are now 2,755 active cases of COVID-19 in the state, including 223 on the Kenai Peninsula. There are 62 active cases in Soldotna, 47 in Seward, 44 in Kenai, 34 in Homer, and 17 in Sterling.

 

There are currently 39 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 in Alaska who are hospitalized and an additional seven patients who are considered persons under investigation for a total of 46 current COVID-related hospitalizations.

 

A total of 294,053 tests have been conducted. The average percentage of daily positive tests for the previous seven days is 2.73%.
