A small group of the republican-led majority is forming what they have termed the “Freedom Caucus.”
Eagle River Representative Lora Reinbold is the chair of the group which plans to meet an hour each week with the goal of “defending freedom”, particularly with a focus on how to cut the budget.
Currently the group has three other members: Representatives Wes Keller of Wasilla, Shelley Hughes of Palmer, and recently elected Cathy Tilton whose district entails Chugiak to Wasilla.
Rep. Reinbold said other house members have been invited to join.
