Freedom House will be hosting their 4th annual ‘Freedom Reigns’ fundraiser dinner on March 7 at Skyview Middle School.
Freedom House is a faith-based transitional living home for those coming out of addiction, incarceration, or off the streets. Their women’s house opened in 2017 and the men’s home opened in 2019, with both being located in Soldotna.
The Freedom Reigns fundraiser will be filled with silent and live auctions, house updates, and testimonies from the residents.
The women’s Freedom House opened in January of 2018, as over 500 volunteers coming together in 4 1/2 months with roughly 3,500 labor hours donated in order to get the building up to code. The men’s Freedom House opened last year.
They are accepting new items to be donated for their silent and live auctions. Admission is free, but Freedom House encourages anyone who comes to bring house cleaning supplies or consumables, such as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap), as this gesture will be an entry to a drawing.
The event will be held on March 7 at 6 p.m. at Skyview Middle School. Visit the Freedom House Facebook page for continued updates on volunteer needs, as well as more information regarding the fundraiser.
