The Freezer Food Series, a series of Wednesday night events on the Tsalteshi Trails, plans to hold a 5-kilometer freestyle ski event beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20 on the Tsalteshi Trails at Skyview Middle School.

Wednesday the 20th at the Skyview Middle School trail head. Registration begins at 5:30pm with the race starting at 6:00pm. Entry fees are $12 for non-members and $6 for members or $10/$5 respectively with a donation of non-perishable food for the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank.
If the trails are looking like they’re still going to be unskiable next week, we’ll just skip forward to the next non-ski event in the series. Check back early next week for any updates.

The Freezer Food Series is a weekly race series instituted in partnership with the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank and Central Peninsula Hospital. Donations to the food bank will be accepted at each week’s event.
The Freezer Food Series will be structured as a mix of freestyle cross-country ski races interspersed with a variety of other casual race events. Weekly events are subject to weather and trail conditions.
