The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory which is in effect from 3 am to Noon Thursday morning.
Ice Accumulation is expected between one tenth to two tenths of an inch, with the greatest accumulations north of Clam Gulch. Light freezing rain will begin across the Southwest Inlet near Anchor Point late tonight and spread northward through Thursday morning. Freezing rain will then transition to rain from South to North during the morning hours bringing an end to the Freezing rain by Thursday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service travel may be difficult on Thursday. Be prepared for slippery roads, slow down and use caution while driving.
