Alaska State Troopers have identified the victims of the head-on collision the Kenai Spur Highway Friday morning.
Initial investigation revealed 38-year-old Aaron McGahan of Nikiski was driving the white 2005 F250 pickup and 24-year-old Cyle Dendy of Kenai was driving his 2015 Dodge Dart.
The vehicles collided, head-on, in the southbound lane but Troopers are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
The crash caused the Kenai Spur Highway to be closed for approximately 45 minutes.
Dendy received significant injuries in the crash and was transported via LifeMed helicopter to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.
McGahan was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital by the Nikiski Fire Department for minor injuries.
Troopers ask that anyone who witnessed the crash call the Soldotna Post at 262-4453.
