Tune in to KSRM 920 AM for a full afternoon of Soldotna and Kenai candidate appearances beginning at 4:00 pm.

 

Incumbent Linda Murpy will appear alongside her contender for Soldotna City Council Seat C Dan Nelson at 4:00 pm on the Tall, Dark, and Handsome Show.

 

Murphy said she is running for reelection because the Soldotna City Council is working through tough topics and  her experience in local government gives her an edge.

 

Nelson says he’s worked on the Planning and Zoning Commission over the past two years and wants to take on more responsibilities with Soldotna’s government by becoming a city councilor.

 

Following the Soldotna duo, Kenai City Council Candidate Jim Glendening will be on at 5:00 pm.

 

His priority is to use his own experiences from his time on local government to prepare for tough fiscal times ahead of the city.

 

Municipal election day for Soldotna, Kenai, and the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly is October 6.

 

Absentee voting begins Monday, September 21.
