An online fundraiser is being held to support the families of four of the seven victims of the July 31 plane collision that took place over Soldotna. The four are from South Carolina, who were flying as tourists on a High Adventure Air charter.

Caleb Hulsey, age 26,  and Mackay Hulsey, age 24, were brothers. Heather Hulsey, age 24, was Caleb’s wife.  Kirstin Wright, age 23, was the girlfriend of Mackay. They all lived in the Spartanburg area of South Carolina.

Spartanburg County School District Six released a statement on Saturday morning, confirming Heather Hulsey was a middle school art teacher.

Over the weekend, a fundraiser was established on GoFundMe. According to the fundraiser description, the goal is to fund travel expenses to Alaska for the families,  as well as the funeral expenses. The goal set on the fundraiser was $8,000, but as the funeral expenses have not yet been finalized, the organizer asked that contributors give whatever they are able to give.

As of this publication, the goal has been exceeded, at close to $14,000. Contributions are actively being accepted to support the families: https://www.gofundme.com/f/supporting-the-hulsey-family

The three other victims of the incident were Representative Gary Knopp, age 63, pilot Gregory Bell, age 57, and guide David Rogers of Kansas, age 40.
