Kenai residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and pitch in during the city’s annual Community Clean-Up Day. The event aims to remove litter and beautify public spaces across the city.
Volunteers will meet at the Kenai Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center, where a central hub will be set up with free cleanup supplies, instructions, and refreshments — including coffee, water, and donuts. Participants will then spread out across Kenai to clean streets, parks, and public areas.
The event will occur Saturday, May 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Free yellow cleanup bags are available in advance at the Kenai Recreation Center and Kenai Visitors Center during regular hours.
The Chamber stresses that every volunteer effort matters. Whether you tackle one street or a whole neighborhood, your help makes a visible difference in keeping Kenai clean and welcoming.
They will also offer a “virtual clean-up” option for those unable to attend in person. Residents can choose a spot to clean and email photos and location details to [email protected] for coordinated trash pickup.
