SoHi’s Atticus Gibson and Andrew Pieh combined for a two-hit shutout of the Kenai Kardinals in a 13-0 SoHi victory on Tuesday at the Kenai Fields.
Gibson opened with four innings on the mound allowing one hit and recording five strikeouts. Pieh pitched the fifth (final) inning and allowed one hit in the 10-run rule contest. The Stars totaled nine hits for 13 runs led by Riley Johnson’s three hits, five RBI and a solo home run.
SoHi and Kenai are scheduled to play in the Buddy Dale Baseball Tournament in Wasilla running Thursday through Saturday.
