Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motorcycle crash at 115 mile Sterling Highway south of S. Cohoe Loop near Clam Gulch on June 19th at approximately 9:17 a.m.
AST responded to the scene and investigation revealed Michael Elson, 59 of Girdwood, was traveling northbound on the Sterling Highway and lost control of the motorcycle he was riding while attempting to negotiate curves.
Central Emergency Services responded and Elson was declared deceased on scene.
Next of kin was notified and the state medical examiner is taking possession of Elson’s remains
