Gov. Announces Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Gov. Sean Parnell announced appointees to various boards and commissions today.

Parnell appointed Eugene Wiseman and reappointed Mary Leemhuis to the Alaska Council of Emergency Medical Services, a council which advises the commisioner of the Department of Health and Social Services on implementing emergency medical services.

The State Vocational Rehabilitation Committee promotes employment of people with disabilities and was appointed Kenneth Schoenlein and Mary Elam.

He appointed Becky Hultberg and reappointed Emily Ennis to the Alaska Health Care Commission which serves Alaska as the state health planning and coordinating body.

The Statewide Suicide Prevention Council was appointed Kathryn Casello. This council serves in an advisory capacity to improve health and wellness throughout the state by reducing suicides.

And lastly Gov. Parnell appointed Susan Pollard to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws which works towards the development and promotion of uniform and model laws across state lines, promoting commerce between states.
