Gov. Sean Parnell signed legislation aimed at creating more job opportunities for Alaskans with disabilities.
House Bill 211 ensures state agencies and school districts throughout Alaska give individuals with disabilities priority in employment processes.
The bill was sponsored by Representative Charisse Millett while Senator Lesil McGuire sponsored the companion legislation.
Parnell signed HB 211 at the Beneficiary Employment Initiative Summit.
