On Sunday President Barack Obama announced his plan for Congress to protect Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, spurring various Alaskan reactions.

After that video announcement, Governor Bill Walker held a press conference where he stated he considered the announcement a direct attack on Alaska’s future and that his phone call with Department of Interior Secretary Sally Jewell was professional but “didn’t end well”.
Walker also outlined some of his next steps.
He also thanked Alaska’s delegation in Washington D.C. and said he does not believe this action will receive congressional support.
