Grant Aviation Adds Two New Planes To Its Fleet

In the wake of Ravn Alaska discontinuing their operations out of Kenai, the remaining air travel providers continue to fill the flight services void; now Grant Aviation has expanded its fleet with the addition of two new planes.

 

The aviation outfit made the announcement on social media posting pictures of the two Cessna 208B Ex Grand Caravans, which they intend to add to the services between Kenai and Anchorage.

 

The addition of the new aircraft comes following Grant announcing in October their plan to add up to 50 new flights to their schedule after Ravn’s Oct. 20 full departure from the Kenai Municipal Airport.

 

At that time Grant was trying to ramp up its operations to meet the goal, but they said achieving that would be dependent on adding additional planes to their fleet.

 

“Well, right now we do have a little bit of room to increase on the weekends, but we’re kind of at our max right now until we can get more aircraft availability,” said Dan Knesek VP of Commercial Airlines for Grant Aviation.

 

There is no official word yet on when the new Grand Caravan’s will be put in operation.
