Grant Aviation has announced that they will be offering up to 50 additional flights per week between Ted Stevens Anchorage International and the Kenai Municipal Airport beginning this Saturday, October 21st.
This change is in effort to accommodate for the departure of Ravn Alaska leaving the Kenai Municipal Airport on October 20th.
In our continuous effort to respond to the needs of the communities we serve, Grant Aviation is thrilled to announce increased service between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula in the coming days.
According to Dan Knesek, the Vice President of Commercial, the additional flights equate to approximately a 30 percent increase in the airline’s services.
“We’re excited to continue to serve the Peninsula and provide the same service levels that we have in the past in customer service level and we will be working on supporting the community as it’s needed.”
The 35 minute flight from Kenai to Anchorage is a route that is critical for many of the Kenai Peninsula residents, especially in the winter months. Oil and gas workers, as well as other professionals rely on this service as a way to commute to and from their job.
Knesek also says that the airline is looking to potentially expand their services even more, and would like to add even more flights to the route if it’s possible.
“So hopefully we can keep that excitement level and we’ll show up in bookings, and then that’ll allow us to keep moving forward and possibly increasing the flights in the future,” said Knesek.
