Homer Electric Association’s Board of Directors 2022 election will be taking place soon. Nine candidates in total will be on the ballot for this year’s election with the deadline to apply for a seat on the board being March 4, 2022. HEA directors are elected by members in their respective district, with members voting only for the candidates in their district.
Tanya Lautaret with HEA tells KSRM:
“In District 1 this year, that is Kenai, Nikiski and part of Soldotna, the candidates are Daniel Hyman of Soldotna, Summer Lazenby of Soldotna, and Wayne H. Ogle of Nikiski. In District 2, which is Soldotna, Sterling and Kasilof, the candidates are Dave Carey of Soldotna and Daniel Furlong of Soldotna. In District 3, which is Kasilof south to Kachemak Bay, the candidates are Troy Jones of Homer, Lonnie Lambert of Ninilchik, Erin McKittrick of Seldovia, and Dr. Douglas Stark of Homer.”
Lautaret says that the election is soon:
“The ballots will be mailed out to HEA members on April 4, 2022. Completed mail-in ballots must be received by mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 3, 2022. If you’re looking for more information regarding HEA’s board election, you can go to our website www.homerelectric.com.”
HEA advises residents to submit your vote in the mail early.
