HEA Board of Directors member David Thomas was paid $6,000 in the final quarter of 2014 for a total payment of $7,307 including hotels and meals.
The figures were released in the HEA Courier and show that more than $27,000 was paid to the nine members who sit on the HEA Board for just three months. Director Dan Chay was paid a director’s fee of $3,300 plus a training fee of $3,500. His cost as a director for the period was almost $8,000.
David Thomas, Dave Carey, and Jim Levine are up for re-election this year. Thomas is unopposed, Carey is being challenged by Andrew Alexandrou of Sterling, and Don Stead and Joe Singleton of Homer would like to unseat Levine.
Mail-in ballots must be recieved by May 6, 2015.
Voting at the annual meeting happens May 7th in Homer.
