Approximately 1,200 Homer Electric Association customers near Nikiski lost power this afternoon.
HEA’s Joe Gallagher…
Gallagher: “At approximately 4:15 this afternoon we lost power in the Nikiski area, basically in north Nikiski, the area north of Bernice Lake is without power at this time. It’s affecting about 1,200 HEA members. We do have a report of a tree on a power line in the area, a crew is on the way and hopefully will be able to repair that just as soon as possible.”
