Homer Electric Association is still working to restore power to members of the community.
HEA has been able to restore power to all but approximately 750 members, with majority of the outage remaining in Kasilof.
Crews continue to work as quickly and as safely as they can to restore power.
UPDATE 7:10 p.m
Power has been restored to another 4,500 members from the K-Beach intersection at the Sterling Highway to just past VIP Subdivision.
1,000 members from the Soldotna bridge to Kasilof, as well as the inlet side of K-Beach remain without power.
Crews continue to work as quickly and as safely as they can to restore power.
Update 7:01 p.m
HEA continues to make progress on the power outage.
As of 7:01 p.m., approximately 1,000 members are still without power.
Update 6:21 p.m.
Crews are making progress restoring power to members in Anchor Point and a few other small areas.
There are 5,500 members who remain without power on all of K-Beach and from the Sterling Hwy at the Soldotna Bridge to the Kasilof substation.
We are unable to back feed all of the circuits due to a damaged transmission switch.
The crews are working as quickly and as safely as they can, to restore power.
Update: 4:34 p.m.
Homer Electric Association is responding to a large power outage affecting members from Anchor Point to Soldotna, including K-Beach.
The transmission line from Diamond Ridge to Soldotna has tripped, de-energizing three substations and affecting approximately 10,000 members.
Crews are already flying the line and will be working to restore power to any circuits that can be back fed.

Homer Electric Association is responding to a large power outage affecting over 10,000 members from Anchor Point to Kenai.
According to an HEA Facebook page, very little information on exact location extent or cause of the outage in unknown.
Currently in Soldotna, 4,900 member are affected, Kasilof, 2,308 members are without power and in Anchor Point, 2,308 members are affected.
They are experiencing high call volumes at this time, and ask that members be patient while they gather information.
