Last week’s heavy rainfall set back the Binkley Street Renovation Project, but work is still going well.
Project Manager Lee Frey gave an update.
Frey: “We finished up all the concrete work north of Corral Street, up through Marydale including that roundabout, we’re planning on getting that paved early this week possibly this weekend, we’re still waiting on a final schedule to get that going, other than that we’re doing some off street work on Redoubt there’s a couple bury pits that have been causing some issues on that street so we’ve been digging those out, filling those in with some new gravel, getting those in good shape for the winter, other than that we’re working out in front of the post office getting prepped for curb in there.”
He said it is unclear if the entire project will be done this season.
Frey: “That lift station we’re still up in the air on we’re not sure if we’re going to dig into that this year or next year, we’re waiting to see when we get that Marydale intersection open and then we’ll take it from there.”
