High Wind Gusts Keep HEA Busy With More Outages

Strong winds continue to cause power outages around the Kenai Peninsula this afternoon.

As of 3:20 pm the larger outages include the following areas:
Old Sterling Highway between Homer and Anchor Point (358 members affected).
Portions of downtown Homer (435 members affected).
South Miller Loop/Island Lake Road area (513 members affected).
Smaller scattered outages around the Peninsula.
If you do not have power, please call 1-888-8OUTAGE.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO STAY AWAY FROM ANY DOWNED POWER LINES.  THESE LINES ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND COMING NEAR A LINE CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
