The Peninsula could see some stronger winds later this week into the weekend according to Dave Strickland with the National Weather Service in Anchorage.
Strickland: “Its pretty hard to tell how strong those winds are going to be but probably up above the 30-50 mph range but right now its kind of hard to put any numbers down it just looks like its going to be pretty windy.”
Strickland said some areas along the Cook Inlet could see higher winds than other areas across the peninsula.
Strickland: “They will be close to warning level, could see into the 60 mph area along the inlet there even a little farther South especially in the Homer area.”
