Bloomberg Wealth is reporting that Hilcorp Energy Company is giving employees $100,000 this holiday season. That $100,000 is divided up into two ways – a $75,000 holiday reward for the company reaching performance goals and $25,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.

Hilcorp says on their website that their belief is that their employees know best how to help the communities where they live, work, and raise families. The Hilcorp Giving Program, as it’s known, has distributed more than $18 million to non-profit organizations across the U.S. The company has established a charitable trust for every new employee with an initial gift of $2,500 to be donated at the employee’s direction to a qualified charity or charities of their choice. The company then matches employee contributions dollar for dollar up to $2,000.

The company has had a focus on helping the communities of Alaska out by having over 700 partnerships with local businesses, generating over $400 million in annual economic activity. In addition, Hilcorp and its employees have donated over $4 million to Alaskan charities.

In 2015, a $100,000 bonus was rewarded to all Hilcorp employees for doubling select company metrics over the course of five years, according to the company website.

Hilcorp’s company profile in Alaska includes nearly 1 million gross acres, over 1,700 producing wells, over 340,000 gross barrels of oil per day, and over 1,400 employees. In addition, the company’s website says that they have invested over $340 million in the state since 2019.
