Hilcorp Subsidiary Agrees to Purchase Port Mackenzie LNG Plant

Harvest Alaska, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilcorp Alaska, has executed an agreement to purchase the Port Mackenzie LNG Plant from Titan Alaska LNG.

Currently the Titan plant has a maximum output of 50,000 gallons of LNG per day and Harvest Alaska is interested in increasing that output after the sale closes.

Most of the LNG currently produced is transported to Fairbanks Natural Gas’ re-gasification facility and Harvest will acquire Titan’s LNG trucks and trailers and continue that transport.

They may also look into delivering LNG to Fairbanks via railcar based on the plant’s close proximity to Port Mackenzie’s rail extension which is currently under construction.

This purchase follows the finalization of Hilcorp’s acquisition of BP’s interests four North Slope oil fields: the Endicott and Northstar fields and half BP’s interests in the Liberty and Milne Point fields.
