Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Representative Christopher Kurka announced Homer small business owner, Paul Hueper as his running mate for the position of Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor. Hueper made headlines on April 29, 2021 when he recalled his home being raided by 12 FBI agents who interrogated them, and searched their house reportedly looking for a laptop belonging to Nancy Pelosi, allegedly taken the night of the January 6th Washington D.C. insurrection.
Hueper appeared on the Thursday edition of KSRM’s ‘Sound Off’ to talk about being considered for Lieutenant Governor saying he initially had no desire to get into politics, but said:
“Why not put our lives on the line for what we believe and what want to see the country have left, the state left, for our daughters. Let’s fight for our daughters. Let’s fight for our neighbor’s kids cause where this is going is a scary place. The level of Marxism and Communistic thinking that we’ve allowed in the country via primarily, I would say, our educational systems, our Harvards and our Yales, the finest minds out there, are into this wokeness that is going to destroy this country. This is the next generation that’s going to lead us into the leadership of the world. It’s a sad state of affairs right now.”
He spoke on what he’d like to see happen at the Alaska Division of Elections:
“I would like to see us go back to a simplistic system ideally. This is ideally, I don’t know is this is ever going to be pulled off, but I would really love to see Alaska set up an election holiday where we’d get a day off where we get to celebrate our freedom to go to the poles and vote. That’s number one. Number two, I’d like to see us go back to purely hand ballots, no machines. No Dominion machines, just simple hand counting, and with today’s technology to be able to openly see each other’s ballots. Anybody can go on to see every ballot made.”
