The Homer Mariner softball team, champions of the Northern Lights Conference tournament contested last weekend in Houston, will represent the Kenai Peninsula at the ASAA Division II State Softball Championships scheduled for the Cartee Fields in Anchorage June 3-5.
The Division II championship format features a six-team Division II tournament. Day 1 is pool play used to eliminated two teams and to seed the two-day, double elimination bracket. Pool play will be held Thursday, June 3rd with Homer drawing 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. games.
Homer faces North Pole at 10 a.m. in Pool B play on Thursday, June 3rd.
