The Central Peninsula Hospital’s construction of a specialties clinic building is visible from blocks away. CEO Rick Davis says everything is on budget and on schedule.

Davis: “So we should start taking over occupancy of that in December and we’ll be ready to open for business in the end of February.”

He described what offices will be included in the building.

Davis: “There will be a spine center on the first floor, as well as imaging and physical therapy to support the spine center. And then a couple of endoscopy suites on the second floor, and procedure rooms, and physicians’ offices. Then the third floor will be the remainder of our cancer center so we’ll have infusion services up there and just all the rest of the cancer services and a few more physician offices.”

As we previously reported, in September the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly approved a $3 million revenue bond sale to keep the Specialty Clinic Expansion Project on target.
