The Alaska House and Senate passed bills for the usage of around $1.5 billion in federal COVID-19 relief aid on Tuesday, one day after reconvening to take up the issue.
The measure passed the Senate 19-1, with Senator Lora Reinbold of Eagle River as the lone dissent vote. It passed the House 38-1, with Representative David Eastman of Wasilla being the only no vote.
The House promptly adjourned. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene on Wednesday morning.
A lawsuit challenging whether the spending plans were constitutional prompted lawmakers to return to Juneau on Monday to come to a conclusion this week.
